Bizarre, I know, but my name is really Lisa. See when I was a kid, my dad gave me a crazy nickname of "Pizzaface". I swear I didn't have pimples or anything similar to warrant such a nickname. But that is just what he called me. And I loved it. It was one of those things you are proud of no matter how embarrassing it seemed.
Well, somewhere between high school and the end of college I was given a new nickname. Apparently Pizzaface wasn't refined enough for Lisa the adult. So, some how some way, I was called Penenlope. Now we always teased my dad for calling me every name in the book why he called for me. He comes from a family of eight kids and I was usually called every one of his sister's names before he got to mine...Marina, Tina, Carmen..LISA! So naturally I thought this was just one of those memory things. But it stuck. And I am just as proud of it. My nickname for my adult life. So that's why I chose it as the name of this blog.
My intent is for this blog to be a resource for myself and hopefully a few others. A journal of my life now as a mother of two (5 months and 4 years - give or take a few months). Who is privileged enough to stay home with my kids and my husband. That's right. 24 hours a day, seven days a week we are ALL at home. Under the same roof. My husband and I run our own business from home. Told you this could be interesting.
